I believe this is the foundation of the house featured in the previous frame of the Gallery, located on Jacob Street between Ellet and Bergman Streets. When I returned to Brainerd in 1999 for additional photos and interviews, I was surprised and saddened to find the charred remains of what had been my favorite Brainerd building. According to Jake Cornelius, with whom I was standing when I took this photo, the house went up in flames one night and burned to a crisp in a matter of minutes.
