The original Missouri Pacific Railroad depot was torn down in the early 1940s and replaced by this more spartan, but functional facility on the same site. The depot continued to operate for passenger service until approximately 1950.

The Brainerd Feed Store occupies this lot on the southwest corner of Broadway and the now-abandoned railroad right-of-way.
